Love from Brigitte

I keep on my desk the picture of you and me dressed as if we're to be married. It has made me happy for years. It reminds me that you were my first best friend and likely my best playmate for years. I'm also keenly aware that you were nearly as tall as I was at the ripe old age of three. I was five. I'm pretty certain you passed me in height about six months later and thereafter always would be viewed as my older brother by any passing stranger—an assertion I batted down if anyone dared to voice it.

Your heart was always bigger than mine. I knew it early on and it made me want to be more like you in that regard. My heart was more critical and judgmental. I never, ever saw that in you growing up. You were always generous from your core.

Love from Jeanne

Robert. I am reminded time and again how very sensitive and kind you were. I will never forget how you lovingly helped me take care of 'The Rod' when his was hit. You showed me so much support. You had a terrific sense of humor and a very infectious laugh! I will love you and miss you forever.

From Steve Chappell

Robert was a special guy and I will miss him. It is so strange to think that I won't be working with him any longer. I am glad that I was able to see him before he passed on and to know that he is no longer suffering. My heart goes out to you and the rest of Robert's family.

Love from Phillip

I will miss your smile. I like how you always tried to help others. I loved the different foods you cooked and that you belonged to and supported Yahara House. I really liked watching how much you love Izzy and Annie and took care of them.

Love from Izzy

One of my happiest memories is when you took us to see Yogi Bear and the Three Stooges. That was awesome fun. I love the sound of your laugh. It made us feel so happy.
